Baba Farid Pakpattan 769th’s Urs begins today (Nov 22, 2011)
PAKPATTAN (Tuesday, November 22, 2011) : Fifteen days long Urs celebrations at the shrine of Sufi saint Hazrat Baba Fareed Uddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA) will start from November 22, 2011 and end on December 7, 2011.
Security has been tightened around the shrine for 769th annual Urs celebrations in view of any potential terror attack.
Walk-through gates have been put in places on exits and entrances following the bombing last year. Also, close circuit cameras have been installed for surveillance.
The special gate termed as ‘Beheshti Darwaza’ (paradise door) will be opened on December 2nd.
