NEPRA Has Raised Electricity Tariff in Pakistan

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved an increase of power tariff by 52 paisas per unit in on Monday. After hearing the request forwarded by Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), NEPRA has raised the power price is in the wake of fuel adjustments in September.

Around Rs 8.95 billion was collectively sold in the month of September and approximately Rs 60.54 billion fuel has been consumed to produce electricity in for the same month. According to the officials, more than Rs 3.7 million has been wasted in the wake of transmission license.
