Shahbaz Sharif Visits Flood Affected Village in Rajan pur District
Rajanpur (Saturday, October 27, 2012) – Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif offered Eid Prayers in a small village of Rajanpur district, tehsil Rojhan called Qalandar Buksh Radhani with those affected by the recent flood.
CM spent quite some time with the families affected by the flood and also distributed Eid gifts among children. The children were pleasantly surprised to find the CM in their midst and extremely delighted on receiving gifts from the CM.
CM while addressing the flood affectees stated that he was extremely happy to be spending his Eid with them and he is doing all he can to rehabilitate them. CM announced that flood victims will be issued a rehabilitation card through which they will receive 2 installments of 20,000 rupees each, the houses destroyed are being re-constructed; a huge sum is being spent to rehabilitate the victims.
Instructions were issued by CM to provide free seeds to the flood victims so they may start their farming again, water rate (Aabiana) levied on agricultural land has also been waived for the flood victims on special instructions of CM; since this area was declared a calamity stricken area.
The residents of this flood stricken area thanked the CM for having remembered them and on spending Eid with them.
