‘Modern Sher Shah Suri’ removes road barrier himself, visit metro bus project

Lahore (Sunday, November 2, 2012) – Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today paid a surprise visit to metro bus project without security and protocol. Upon seeing the chief minister, a large number of people gathered there.
Shahbaz Sharif mingled with the people and the labourers. Taking notice of placing of a barrier near Chungi Amar Sadhu for stopping traffic, he stepped down from his vehicle and removed the barrier himself and directed the authorities concerned not to stop traffic at the crossing.
On this occasion, hundreds of citizens and labourers gathered and raised slogans of “Shahbaz Sharif Zindabad”, “Sher Aaya—Sher Aaya”.
While talking to the citizens, the chief minister asked them how much should be the fare of the metro bus. They replied that it should be within the reach of the common man. The citizens said that this achievement of the chief minister would be written in golden letters in the history.
Shahbaz Sharif stopped his vehicle at more than 12 places and took briefings at various sections and also talked to the people and labourers present there.
On Lytton Road, the citizens stopped his vehicle at four different places and raised slogans of “Dekho Dekho Kaun Aaya—Sher Aaya Sher Aaya”. The citizens said, “You are very hardworking chief minister and Sher Shah Suri of modern era.”
