Punjab NA Seats Will Decrease, KPK Seats will Increase – New Formula After Census 2017

Federal Government of Pakistan has decided not to change the total seats of the national assembly after the census report 2017. While seats will re-distributed according to the population of census 2017. As per new Mardum Shimari, the National Assembly Seats of Punjab Province will decrease from 148 General Seats to 141 General Seats. While tow Women Quota seats (Reserves) will also decrease.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province will benefit most. Its General National Assembly seat will increase from 35 to 39. While one reserved seat of Women quota will also added.

As Per News Formula New General Seats of National Assembly:-

  • Total NA Seats = 272
  • Punjab NA Seats = 141 (7 decrease)
  • Sindh NA Seat = 61 (No Change)
  • KPK  NA Seats = 39 (4 Increase)
  • Baluchistan NA Seats = 16 (2 Increase)
  • FATA = 12 (No Change)
  • Islamabad NA Seats = 3 (1 Increase)

Current General Seats distribution of National Assembly:-

  • Total NA Seats = 272
  • Punjab NA Seats = 148
  • Sindh NA Seat = 61
  • KPK  NA Seats = 35
  • Baluchistan NA Seats = 14
  • FATA = 12
  • Islamabad NA Seats = 2
