28,789 students passed exams with passing percentage of 48.39%
RAWALPINDI (September 10, 2011) : The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) announced the F.A/FSc. results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination 2011 here on Saturday.
The result was announced in a ceremony held here at Rawalpindi Arts Council.
Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Hanif Abbasi was the chief guest on the occasion while member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate, RBISE Chairman Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Controller Examination Amjad Iqbal Bhara, Educationist, Students and a large number of parents attended the ceremony.
Rabia Afroz, the student of District Public Girls Higher Secondary School Chakwal clinched 1st position by securing 1018 marks while Shoaib Hassan of Masali Barani Science College Talagang got second position by securing 1006 marks and Muhammad Hansala of Punjab College of Information Technology Satellite Town got third position by securing 1003 marks.
In his welcome address, BISE Chairman Dr. Muhammad Qasim said that 60,616 candidates have submitted the examination forms for F.A/FSc examination 2011, while 59,601 candidates appeared in examination and 28,789 were declared successful. The result ratio remained 48.39%.
MNA Hanif Abbasi distributed certificates, cash prizes and computers among the outstanding candidates. Hanif Abbasi said Punjab Government has taken revolutionary steps for promotion of education and billions of rupees were spent in education sector.
While appreciating the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, he said setting up of Danish Schools in the province is the best example of his vision in education sector.
