Ayesha Bukhari sues for a share of late Punjab governor’s Salman Taseer property in Court:
A woman (Ayesha Bukhari) claiming to be a widow of Salmaan Taseer has sued for a share of the late Punjab governor’s property. A civil court sought replies to the petition from the respondent by April 18.
Complainant Ayesha Bukhari filed a suit in Civil Judge Rai Naeem Kharal’s court seeking to be declared a legal heir of Taseer. She claimed to have signed a nikah with Taseer on June 29, 2004. She said they had no children. She said that as his widow, she deserved a share in Taseer’s bank accounts, companies and other movable and immovable assets.
The respondents named in the petition are the late governor’s widow Aamna, sons Shehbaz, Sheheryar and Shan, daughters Shehrbano, Sara and Sanam, and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan.
