Peshawar is the very home of three of the most iconic superstars in Bollywood namely Dilip Kumar (also known as Muhammed Yusuf Khan), Shahrukh Khan and Ranbirraj aka Raj Kapoor. Speaking of Raj, his Peshawar house which is situated in Mohallah Dhaki Munawar Shah is to be converted in to a museum.
The operation is under the chairman of the IMGC Global Entertainment in Pakistan, Shaikh Amjad Rasheed. In a recent interview with The Express Tribune, Rasheed stated, “We are planning to renovate Prithviraj Kapoor’s five-storey house and turn it into a museum. We are in continuous interaction with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and hope that we will soon get the green light to acquire the house from its present owners as soon as possible.”
The house was purchased with a handsome amount of 30 million PKR and the inauguration of the museum is reported be attended by none other than the grandson of Raj Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor; who is extremely happy about the conversion as revealed by Rasheed.
