Pakistani all rounder Mohammad Hafeez set to make his Test return after impressing in a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore both with the bat and ball. Hopefully he will join the team for test series of two test match against Australia in UAE. He has been a near complete flop in Tests, at least in recent times. He hasn’t been selected for a match in ten months and scored the last of his five Test tons back in the summer of 2012.
According to a PCB official, Hafeez was in his element during the test as he “impressed” both as a batsman and bowler. Hafeez, 33, was picked by the national selectors in a 19-man preliminary squad for the two-Test series against Australia getting underway in Dubai on October 22. His chances of making the cut for the final 15 hinged on the outcome of Wednesday’s fitness test.
