Hamza Akbar Becomes The National Snooker Champion

Pakistan’s 38th National Snooker Championship concluded on Monday evening in its southern port city of Karachi with the emergence of a new national champion Hamza Akbar, who won the title after a tough contest against Pakistan No.2 player Imran Shehzad.

The 19-year-old Akbar, who was playing first time in the annual championship, impressed the audience and experts with his surprising and tricky game in the event. The youngster Akbar won the title by defeating senior player Shehzad by the margin of 8-7 frames in the final of the event that was played at Karachi Gymkhana Hall.

Both players presented a superb game show and were 7-7 at one stage in the 15-frame match but Akbar played better in the last round and clinched the trophy.
