BCCI working committee decides to resume cricketing ties with Pakistan, by inviting them for a short series in Dec 2012-Jan 2013. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf told local television channels that he was still waiting for a formal invitation for the series, but said: It seems it will surely be held later this year. The decision is great and we welcome it. It seems that millions of cricket fans have their wishes fulfilled.
The series would comprise three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 games in December-January 2013. The nations have not faced each other in a Test or one-day series since the end of 2007 – bilateral relations were severed following the Mumbai terrorist attack in 2008.
