After the indication that bilateral cricket series between Pakistan and India are likely to reusme, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf is hopeful that the two countries will be able to host a joint Twenty20 league in the future.
“I have a futuristic approach and I see a joint India-Pakistan Twenty20 league. If the two leagues are combined, it would be the biggest league in the world. Imagine what that league would do,” Ashraf was quoted as saying by Mail Today.
The PCB chairman added that he had not discussed the plan with anyone yet but after a positive response from India’s cricket board regarding the bilateral series, Ashraf is hopeful of further collaborations and developments in the future, despite BCCI not allowing its players to play in foreign leagues.
