Finally something to cheer about for the the ICT sector of the country. In order to provide a roadmap to e-governance in the govt sectors and to encourage young tech entrepreneurs, Pakistan Government launches a new initiative under National Mobile App Competition platform. The purpose of the competition is to engage talented IT professionals and youngsters in making apps that will improve the govt services, transparency and quality of work.
The theme of the programme will be “Innovative Apps for Good Governance” which is supposed to be initiated today. There will be many areas where the candidates will showcase their ideas to improve e-governance structure such as health, education and agriculture. Microsoft Pakistan, Telenor Pakistan, Bahria University and Netsol are reported as strategic partners for the competition, while Huawei, IBM, Agile Solutions for Information Age, Jump Start Pakistan and Entrepreneurial Alliance are partners in the program.
The winners of the competition will be referred to top notch tech companies of Pakistan to refine further their expertise. Not only this, the winners will also be given cash prizes and different giveaways as an encouragement. Anyone can apply in the event to showcase their talent and to take part, the registration process will open soon after the launching ceremony. We are hoping some positive news from the event which will further be unveiled after the ceremony.
