Pakistan Railway didn’t paid its PTCL bills for four months, due to non-payment of outstanding dues worth Rs. 1 million, PTCL took a serious action against Pakistan Railway and suspended the outgoing call facility to Pakistan Railways Headquarters and the Lahore Division offices. Pakistan Railway’s hotlines are still working. PTCL is demanding clearance of pending bills of over Rs 1 million.
PR Public Relations Director Abdul Hameed Razi said the outstanding bills will be cleared by the next week. However, the suspension of the outgoing call facility had not affected train operations, as the PR had its own system for rail operation communication based on hotline and waves.
