Kalam / Mingora (Swat) / July 12, 2012) - Five days colorful Swat Summer Festival at scenic valley Kalam Swat started on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti attributed the restoration of lasting peace in Malakand Division and revival of touristic activities.

He told the people that construction work on Mingora-Fatehpur and Fatehpur-Kalam roads would shortly start with the financial assistance of Saudi Government, Asian Development Bank and Federal Government. He added that completion of hydropower projects at Mataltan and Dral Khwar would also usher in era of prosperity and progress in Swat.

festival was very beautiful besides the place itself is more beautiful I like very much this place but due to law and order situation could not visit after 2001 .
