In skardu another lake is called Satpara Lake. Satpara lake supplies water for the town of Skardu, It is located at 2,636 meters or 8,650 feet. It is one of the most picturesque lakes in Pakistan.
The elevation of Satpara lake is 8650 feet above sea level. The lake is spread over an area of 2.5 squire kilometers. A story is attached with this lake by local people that there is gold mine in the bottom of this lake, that is why its water seems shining in the day time.

Due to new dam at this lake the island is now submerged and its beauty lost.
I visted while my punjab university trip in year 1991 and see the real beauty created by Allah Karim. Mashaalah and Subhan Allah. You could imagine if allah karim show you the sign in this world as heavan ———– What about the real heavan which allah karim created for true muslims.
