Supreme Court Suspended Notification regarding win of Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi in NA-89 Jhang
Islamabad (Breaking News / Tuesday, April 22, 2014) – Today Supreme Court of Pakistan has Suspended Notification regarding winning of Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi in NA-89 Jhang.
3 member bench headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali suspended both the notifications on Election tribunal and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), saying that the tribunal had not given enough reasons for the disqualification. The bench said the tribunal’s decision did not take into account the ground realities in the constituency and the number of votes each candidate received.
The bench issued notices to all the respondents and asked the tribunal to re-evaluate the situation and inform the court within three months.
