Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif 25th Urs in Miani Sahab Qabaristan Lahore
Lahore (Monday, April 18, 2016) – 25th Urs (death Anniversary) of Spiritual leader and Sufi Scholar Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif will start on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Urs will be celebrated for thre days from April 30 to May 2.
Vanue of Urs id Qabaristan Miani Sahab Lahore. Sardar Nasrullah Dreshak and Muhammad Bilal Sheikh will perform Chadar Poshi after Namaz e Asr.
On May first an Seminar is also being arranged on this occasion.
Lungar (food) is also though out the three days of the urs on large scale.
Brief History of Wasif Ali Wasif
Wasif Ali Wasif born on 15th January 1929 and died on 18th January 1993. He was a teacher, writer, poet and sufi intellectual from Pakistan. He is famous for his unique literary style. Probably no contemporary Urdu writer is more cited in quotations than he is. Master of aphorism. His shrine is in Lahore famous Mianiasaab graveyard where his Urs is celebrated on 22-24 RAJAB every year.
