Shahbaz Sharif Ujala Program – Solar Home system for Students
Lahore (Sunday, January 27, 2013) – In the year 2011, Shahbaz Sharif chief minister Punjab introduced a revolutionary scheme of “Laptops for students” Now another fantastic project is being launched for the students of college and high school level.
Solar systems to be distributed among students = 2 Lac
Cost of solar system panels = 2.5 billions
Youth and students have always been the CM’s priority. Due to excessive and discriminatory load-shedding in Punjab by those in Islamabad, Ujala scheme has been introduced to provide solar powered lamps to brilliant students.
Solar technology at such a mass level has never been introduced in Pakistan before.

Gilgit Baltstan is not in Punjab province. So you do not qualify for it. Ask the higher authorities to start such schemes in your area.

Dear sir Assla_o allakum.my brother have done matric to get 70% marks.Now he continue the study premadical.He is eligibal for ojala program.

1: What kind of marit is 50/60%???? Now a days most of the good Colleges and Unis have 60% just as passing marks. In Medical Colleges of Punjab students with 80% are not getting admissions and the merit for Laptop Schemes and Ujjala Schemes is 50/60%, what kind of Nonsense is that???.

Can Brilliant students (Private candidates) of 2nd year having 80% + marks get these solar system for their study.
As they are also citizens of Punjab but due to some financial problems can’t go to school or college.
